Simple Computations for the Liner Expenditure System

The linear expenditure system developed by Stone (1954) is an extremely useful tool of demand analysis. Its applicability appears to be restricted however by somewhat computations suggested so far in the literature for estimating the underlying parameters. [Working Paper No. 33]
